At Placer Law Group, APC, we understand that you work for a living and have a family of your own.  That is why we keep non-traditional hours, and are available most evenings and weekends to meet with you.

Who We Are

Elise S. Baker, Esq., created Placer Law Group, APC, after 25 years in the legal profession.  Elise worked as a legal secretary for over 10 years, then decided to go to law school.  She completed her undergraduate studies in southern California at California State University, Northridge.  While a student a McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, Elise excelled, graduating in 1998 with distinction and earning high honors.  During law school, she participated in McGeorge's Community Legal Services program as a student lawyer.  She also earned a place on the school's appellate advocacy competition team and taught other students how to improve their legal writing and oral advocacy skills.

After law school, Elise worked at a sexual assault and domestic violence center as the agency's Law and Policy Director.  She remains passionate about issues of family and child protection and volunteers on the Board of Directors for Placer County's PEACE for Families crisis intervention agency.

Elise became a stay-at-home mom for several years after her first child was born.  When she was ready to go back to work full-time, Elise decided to open a law practice that would allow her to continue spending time with her family.  She lives in Rocklin with her family and also enjoys singing in a band.
